52 Volunteers are Needed!
Our goal is to have “52” teams of two or more, which would mean each team is responsible for one week a year. One week a year! One week a year!
Teams of volunteers are responsible for light housekeeping duties in the main worship area, cry room, confessional, gathering space and front door vestibule. This includes dry dusting of the pews, statues, altar, lector’s podium, tabernacle, altar platform, windowsills, chair rail, and other miscellaneous woodwork, such as the frame work around the doors into the main church. In addition, expired votive candles are replaced. No vacuuming is involved. Teams are placed on a regular rotation schedule. The more teams, the less frequently you are needed. Duties are usually performed on Saturday (or sometimes on Friday) mornings between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and noon. You are asked to bring your own dust cloths. How You Can Become Involved: Adults (both men and women), teens, individuals or families, are invited to participate. This is an excellent opportunity for young adults who wish to obtain credit for service hours, families and couples who wish to engage in a ministry together, and friends and neighbors to spend time together in service to our church. Duties shared make for light work and gratifying results. Taking care of our new worship site is something in which we all have a vested interest in.
