About Our Program

The mission of St. Joseph's religious education is to increase the knowledge of our faith, and to aid in forming the consciences of our youth in order that they may grow to live as strong Catholics. The religious education program begins in the first grade and concludes with the eighth grade, with an optional kindergarten session. We include Sacramental Preparation as part of our program, and prepare second graders for the reception of the sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist, and eighth graders for the reception of Confirmation. We also include the teachings of the Catholic Vision of Love for grades 5-8. Other enrichment activities take place throughout the year. Our program is organized by our program manager, Ms. Nancy J. Vecchio, and involves thirty volunteer catechists and aides. The school year runs from September through May.
